TABS Picks the Superbowl Teams

Seahawks and Pittsburg.

Heh, a little out of your realm, eh, tabs? ;)

Durn, ghost in the machine.

Cowboys - Chargers

mkossler 09-14-2007 05:06 AM

Pats - Bears. You don't have to like them, but now they'll have something to prove (the Pats, that is).

911teo 09-14-2007 05:12 AM

I saw the bears against the Chargers... man they looked horrible.... And it's not only Rex... play calling was bad, the line couldn't hold a soul, Benson and co fumbled 3 times.... I don't know...
I still think the Cowboys could have gone far last year if it wasn't for Gramatica not even attempting to tackle the defender as Romo was launching itself into the end zone ;)

mkossler 09-14-2007 05:17 AM

We'll see... The Bears did look terrible, but I heard lots about problems last year w/ Grossman and they seemed to do okay. A lot will depend on his performance. I think the Cowboys are a good team, but a new head coach, new playbook, etc. make it a tough trip to go all the way.

The Chargers are a good team, but Rivers didn't exactly light the world on fire either last week :) LaDainian proved last year that even he is not enough as one man to win championships. But I LOVE to watch him run with the ball. Best ever, I think he'll be.

Man, I'm glad football is back! It's just nice to have these conversations again...

Patriots/Bears

lendaddy 09-14-2007 05:37 AM

What's with this Bears crap? Are you guys joking?

They'll struggle to take the division and it's an easy ass division.

TerryBPP 09-14-2007 05:57 AM

Lets see how the Pats do now that they can't cheat.

Porsche-O-Phile 09-14-2007 05:57 AM

Probably about the same. Maybe even better.

Porsche virgin 09-14-2007 06:23 AM

Pats/Chargers (AFC championship game) will be the real Superbowl. Whoever the NFC serves up will just be for show.

Boy times have changed. Remember when the annual Dallas/SF NFC Championship game was to determine who got to kill the AFC representative?

I'm surprised to hear all of you picking the Pats. You do realize that Vinatieri is gone, right? He's the guy that carried the team in the past. I see NE falling off the map for several years.

I'll go with Cinci and NO.

Pittsburg does not even have a football team,
I assume you mean Pittsburgh- different city- grew up there

Colts and Cowboys

I know nothing about football but wanted to play along.

Colts and Cowboys, same thinking.

Mule 09-15-2007 06:39 AM

Saints and Colts. Until beaten, Peyton & crew are the gold standard for the NFL. All you cowpokes should go look at last year's game with the Saints. Maybe Wade Phillips is a whole lot better than the Tuna but I can't see it & his record doesn't show it..

Astute observance Matt. All 3 Pat super bowls were won by Vinateri field goals.
