OK, fess up - who's reading "If I Did It"?

Haven't decided yet. On the one hand I totally despise O.J., the O.J. trial, hearing about O.J., etc. On the other hand, it'd be nice to help out the Goldmans, who now have ownership of the book and will receive all proceeds. Plus there's that whole "morbid curiousity thing".

Realistically I probably won't bother picking it up, but I'm just curious who else out there is intrigued by this or who might be picking it up to read (be honest).

Somebody I know was in the French Quarter & saw OJ sitting at the Carousel bar in the Monteleone Hotel. I would have HAD TO go in & yell, "Juice, do you think the real killer's in here?" Couldn't have stopped myself.

I only drink lemonade.

Because OJ will kill you.

Seriously, I won't read the book. I don't read half the books I intend to, so there is no chance I will read on that I don't.

He killed them, we all know it. Anyone who does not agree with this is a fool...

Hope he enjoys eternity in hell, because thats where he is going.

I wouldn't read it if you paid me to. How great a book can it be, with OJ having narrated it to a ghost writer? If you want to help the Goldmans, just send them a check and don't reward a publisher for trying to soothe OJ's ego and conscience.

Buy five copies of the book, read none of them and then burn them.

azasadny 09-14-2007 07:05 AM

I wouldn't wast my time reading that murderer's book.

I'm currently writing a book. It's called "If I read OJ's Book".

If I had to guess I'd say the real killer is hanging out at the Miccosukee Country Club. At least that's where OJ spends a lot of time looking.

I thought PoP was confessing...otherwise, nothing of interest here :)

Porsche-O-Phile 09-14-2007 10:07 AM

Nope, haven't picked it up. Doubt I will either.

jcommin 09-14-2007 10:09 AM

I got better things to do than read about OJ

The original publisher was one of the big powerhouse ones and the hotshot upwardly mobile lady that inked the deal lost her job over it. No publisher would touch it after that not even after the Goldmans got the rights. The present publisher is basically a one man operation who's going to sell it on-line. He and the Goldmans will clean up in my opinion. The original publishers were idiots for taking it on when it belonged to O.J. and they are idiots all over again for not taking it on after the Goldmans got rights.

It makes all the difference in the world who owns the rights and for some reason most publishers can't see it.

You can bet there will be a long forward at the beginning of the book and O.J.s words will be turned against him. This book will read as a pathetic unsuccessful attempt by a killer to wash his hands,

My hat is off to Goldman in his relentless pursuit of justice.

Wouldn't it be nice to turn on the news and find OJ was the victom of a drive-by-hunting-accident?

I do believe that would be too kind.

I have no inclination to read it, but I am curious how detailed he gets. From what they have said on the news, it sounds as if he literally goes step by step. Burn in hell OJ....
