How much do Porsche service advisors make?

Just curious. I was offered a job as an Audi service advisor about 5 yrs. ago and they said it would pay min. $60k. Is that realistic and does anyone know what the make at Porsche or even BMW?

Not enough. Service advisors are generally not well liked by the customers or the guys swinging the wrenches.

The only ones who like them are the dealers mgt and sometimes their mothers.

From the web:

EARNINGS

According to an informal survey of job boards, service advisors earned salaries in the $30,000 to $75,000 range in 2005. Experienced workers can even make six figures in some parts of the country. Service managers earned salaries in the $80,000 range, with experienced managers earning even higher salaries. Many service advisors earn commissions and bonuses based on labor and parts sold, which can boost these salaries higher. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, first-line supervisors and managers of mechanics and installers made between $32-$85,000 a year in 2005.

scary! Let's recommend a bunch of repairs that you really don't need so I can fund my trip to Mexico.

Rick

I gave a guy a ride back from SP last fall when his car broke. He worked at the same dealership as our friend with the nice garage. ;) He was a Porsche SA. He said that they make $6/hr per hour the wrech works. So, if he writes a brake job that takes 2 hours, he gets $12 bucks. Obviously, the leverage model works here...he's got a number of wrenchs doing a number of things at the same time.

I think the industry all works pretty much the same...I think that's why they hate it if you go to another colored "team".

RL, I just can't see YOU, the guy that wouldn't piss on a dealer if it was on fire wanting to work there. Didn't you got through this when you wanted to be a salesman?

I have no idea what garage or friend you're talking about. If the dealer garage is only open, say, eight hrs. per day and you keep one wrench fully booked, you can only make $48 per day? There must be another formula. I know they get paid CSI bonus too.
