It is slang for "Original Gangsta". Some knucklehead in the VW world a few years ago assumed it meant original german and it has stuck. Absolutely drives me crazy!

When I lived in Idaho, my roomate had an 85 Westy, and his brother had a 77--the 77 lost a cylinder in Michigan, but still got him the rest of the way to our place. Both of them were sloooow--especially in the mountains--but were nice--heck 3 of us lived in the 85 for a week while looking for a house/apt.
