Hats off to Washington Huskies fans...
Flew out to Seattle for a cup of coffee and figured we'd go to the game .
Their fans were great . Tail gated off a boat behind the stadium , were welcomed a number of times from fans . Very nice view from the stadium over looking the bay . Only bad thing was from a buckeye , running his mouth after the game . Only takes one clown to bring down the view of how others see your fans . Their team looks pretty good and their quarterback Jake Locker is one to watch in coming years . He had over 100 yards rushing and passing , great arm and the man is fast . I was worried about Washington before the game and the score at half showed the fight in them . OSU seemed to come to life after the half and the rest was history . Given a chance to go back I will and if your team plays them there , go . Nice stadium and real nice fans . Coffee ain't bad either.......

Thx. There are reasons why Seattle is somewhat beloved. The people are among those reasons. Coffee is another. If you failed to visit the pubs and sample the brewmasters' masterpieces, then you made a mistake. I could go on and on. Thanks for noticing. Yup, Seattlites are pretty lively. Generally very warm people, with only a few rare exceptions. Like Island and that MacLeod guy. And Scooter and JW and Higgins. And Dantilla. Stay away from those guys. Terrible people.

You were about a mile from my house. We live a block from that bay. We can see and hear the stadium from our house, and it was pretty quiet that day. We knew things were not going the Huskies way. And being from Ann Arbor ( I went to MSU...go figure), it was deja vu seeing all the Buckeye fans around.
Glad you liked our fair city.

I have been to a lot of college football games. Can't say I recall anyone really misbehaving, everyone has been pretty friendly, even in Palo Alto on the day of the big game wearing a light blue shirt and a Cal hat, or a Nebraska shirt in Texas. Now I have been to some Oakland Raiders games...

Just stay away from the U of Oregon games and you'll be fine. Those fans scare me.
Oh, and Sup, why oh why have I been excluded from your list of avoidables?

Tobra, If you were a diehard Auburn fan and came to Baton Rouge, you would hear so much tiger bait you would want to get out of there, very, very fast. Ruthless fans.

I grew up going to UofW games and now I am lucky enough to have fmaily in O.H.I.O and I get to at least one game a year in Columbus.
The view from Husky stadium can't be beat but the fun at the horseshoe can't be beat either. Last week was torture not knowing who to cheer for!

Drago, you're not argumentative enough for the very exclusive Avoidables List. Indeed, some that I mentioned are in danger of being dropped.

Yo SMan ,
taint my first time to your fair city and won't be my last . Had dinner at Dahlia's lounge Saterday night . Great food and great show . SPD ( 3 cars ) pulled a mustang over just down from the resterant and pulled two guys out at gun point . Also removed a shotgun from the car ( from what I heard/didn't see it ) . Didn't mind so much missing cops on TV that night either . Stopped at an Irish pub near there before hand for a couple Guinness's and a Bushmills . Went to Chinatown Sunday night for some 10 minute . " What the hell is 10 minute side by side ? " Every time I order carry out and ask how long it will be they always tell me 10 minute , 10 minute !!! . So now it's know as 10 minute . Also another good meal . Anyhow................go Huskies ! SxS

In the north Seatte area, near JW's Workshop, is the 74th Street Ale House. When you're in that area next, order the corned beef sandwich with the pasta salad. Trust me. They also have some beverages that can compliment that dish nicely.

Too true...but you need to understand. "You-Gene" is a 99.8% leftist and a University ruled town. The tailgating? These non productive people feel the need to justify their existence somehow. They do this by serving lots of juice out of the back of their new SUV's. There? It's party hearty...much like the "lake Havazoo" pics that RoninLB posted during his latest big ride. In "You-Gene" Orygun, hedonism rules, as much as the football coach.....paid for by the local and state gummint, with many million$ tossed in by Phil Knight.
