Bassist for 45 years. Still a working musician at age 56. Playin' the blues baby. Yeah it's a REAL Thunderbird.

We make up for you down here...in fact, I had 3 of my other bass buds show up one night just so we could could do a nice rendition of "Big Bottom" arranged for big band.

"How could I leave this behind?"

I noodle around with guitar and bass and can find chords and transpose stuff to a piano if I have the time, but I couldn't pay my light bill if I had to play music for a living. That doesn't really make me a musician, tho, so Im not sure why I responded

Bagpipes for me - since I was 12. There is nothing in the world like the sound of a massed band - 250+ pipers and drummers in a single band.

Ritz, New York, New York, Blondies, Token Lounge, Harpo's

Man I remember those places...we used to go down and listen to music there in the early 90s.
I remember Harpo's in particular, that run down neighborhood it was in... for the alternative
scene, there was the Shelter in Det.

I play lots of instruments and also sing: Guitars, Drums, Bass, some Keys and my background
is in music composition and music production. I worked a couple of years as an independent
recording engineer and producer in Nashville...

Today, I am working on my first Solo record...wrote all of the songs, performing it all myself
It is going great, and I am almost finished with it....after that, I will be gigging around LA and pac coast.
This is a project that I have been wanting to do for awhile.

My sound is definitely pop-rock, but very groove oriented, lots of guitar work, with a rock feel...
melodic with some non-standard harmonic progressions that you dont hear every day...kinda
more like Steely Dan mixed with classic R&B and Rock....but on Steroids, with a bit more accessibility in a way
Its hard to explain a sound in words really.

I'll post the tracks here in the forum when it is done, if you guys are interested in checking it out.
