pelicans swappin' paint?
What's up with Wayne's ad in the new Pano (Sept. 07, p.77)?
Are those two familiar long noses getting too familiar? Bill K |
Can you post a scan or would that be inappropriate?
|
Sorry Jeff, I'm not scan compatible, not sure of legalities.
Here's a shot I glommed from a prior post, taken by Scott @ PP during the photo shoot for Classic Motorsport Magazine. In the pic it looks like the red car is setting the yellow/brown car up for a pass in the corner, The Pano ad shows them in the corner about 1/2" away from each other, front fender to front fender. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1190214868.jpg |

I am home having lunch I will scan it when I get back to work. Its a very cool picture.

Wow, you are right. They definitely look like they are in motion. And they definitely look VERY close... It might be interesting to hear the "actuals"...
|
does the right Talbot on the brown/yellow look a little askew?

I saw that when I got my issue yesterday and wondered if that was a hit or near miss....
The drivers didn't look to me like they were actually in that situation.. but it's hard to tell for sure. Real or Not real? |
Maybe I am wrong but the drivers rear corner of the gold car looks wrong. Photochop?
|
So did anyone else pick up on the fact that Wayne's reply neither denied nor confirmed any rubbin'?
|
Looks to me as if the left hand rear wheel of the brown/gold car isn't loaded which you would expect it would be if it was going around a right hand bend at speed. In fact the whole car appears to be leaning into the corner.
Of course I might be talking out of my exhaust... |
Those cars are stainonary, period.
Cheers |
There is a hint, hidden in the left front fender, just behind the headlight of the red 911. Look at the reflection. ;)
|
The photo looks obviously fake to me.
|
okay Wayne, I just got the Oct Pano.... same paint swappin ad.....and still no explaination.
If you weren't playing with project 959, I'd be looking for some answers:D Bill K |
Photoshop or not, it's a GREAT picture.
