now than the CAN $ = US $...

Ok Canadians Pelicans fellows...time to buy goodies for your 911 at Pelican Parts...now that the CAN $ is equal to the US $...And financial experts see it at 1.05 within 2008...!!!:)

MysticLlama 09-19-2007 01:16 PM

My consipriacy is that the US Govt is going to wait for it to get even and then lock USD to the Canadian currency. Thus creating a North American currency to rival the Euro with our without permission. :)

It's on the Internet now, so it must be true, right? ;)

I say we invade Canada! :D

"If you don't surrender pronto, we'll level Toronto." When was the last time we were at par, the 70's? Time to do some shoppin...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1190237056.jpg

Them's fighting words! Watch out, or we will come down there and takeover...oh, wait, never mind...

I actually think that at this point I will try to do most of my shopping in the US, although I try to limit how much shopping I do anyway...

Actually, I heard an interesting remark the other day. It was a prediction that the next great conflict will be over water rights. Indeed, I can report that water rights are becoming a very interesting tussle in places like California, Nevada, Arizona, etc. If this is the next large international dispute, then America and Canada will be involved. They may or may not be on the same side. Apparently, Canada has something like HALF the world's fresh water supply.

frogger 09-19-2007 01:54 PM

Geez Supe, do you do this (serious bit) at parties, too? :p

And all that ice too.

No more Canadian vacations for me! :D

I bought a 911 in Montreal when the exchange rate was the worst (or best, depending on your perspective) that it had been since the 40's....$20,000 Canadian was = to $12,500 US

Parties? What are parties?

Oh yeah. Sure. After I have verified there are no Canadians present.

Actually, at parties I drink Bud Light and talk about them durned terrists, NASCAR and American Idol. You know, the important stuff.

The rest of the time I just slap cratches.

Level Toronto...wouldn't that be nice (Did I say that out loud?) Just kidding.

Yes got to love the dollar, as we have been shafted for so long, order a $40 Pelican part and it costs $95 to get it landed. :(

As far as water, it all flows down there right? Don't we use the rivers for our waste?

There was a guy from California who hired a tanker to bring water from BC back home, he is/was fighting it under NAFTA, I think it's still in courts. Just don't take our beer, healthcare, hockey, seal hunt, whale blubber, igloos, ski bunnies......what was I talking about again?

We're ready for you. In secret camps all over Canada, we've been training beavers . . .

That's why we've got to get to work driving more and having global warming melt it all so the Canadians can't horde it.

Supe, this is my new favorite post. You hit all the highlights in one relevant post. Hemingway couldn't have done better.
