Looks should never be an indicater of anything other than something to have sex with. Hot women can be mean, nice, stupid, smart, or just plain insane - same can be said for men as well. In many instances I would trust a blind person to provide a more accurate accessment of somebody. We are often deceived by our eyes. Still, getting back to those troubled yuts...either they were born that way or something turned them. If they were born like that with all those worms in their heads then not much can be done to correct for it. Pills can only take you so far and talking it through is not gonna change the brain chems. If they had a bad experience than it will take a huge effort to right those wrongs - combo of drugs, talk and praying and even then I wouldn't bet in its favor. Its really sad. Mothers (Fathers)...take care of your Daughters (and Sons) becuase they will be Mothers (and Fathers) someday.

I always thought that you should have to get trained to be a parent - I think there is a bunch of folks out there that feel that having kids is a right and not a privilege.

_________________ Interesting? A privilege ...granted by who? Bet there are probably thousands of women getting knocked up, world-wide, as I type this. Humans = BREEDING. Vast majority probably just loving/enjoying the sex and not concerned with the possible result (in 9 months). Some earlier comments seem to almost indicate we should have killed J. Dohmer's parents also? Hummm. Do they still drown girl infants in China?

My comment was that he had as ordinary and "normal" - whatever that is - an upbringing as any typical American kid and he still turned out to be a monster. I NEVER said nor intimated that "...we should have killed...." his parents. Where do you get something like that? My point was just that you can't always assume because kids turn out to be predators that the reason is simply their parents were bad. I agree its all too prevalent, but it is not a 2+2 equation, though we would like it to be. All nice and tidy. None of us knows why these kids turned out in a way that would cause them to do this and we probably never will. I simply think there is a certain percentage of deviants and the more normal looking/acting/sounding those deviants are, the more they terrify me.

Dan : from my earlier post.
QUOTE: "I'd want to kill those kids and their parents." ______________________ QUOTE: "the parents probably do not love the boys, and most likely sexually abused them." ___________________ Amazing ...the knee jerk reactions before all the facts are known. _____________________________________ Indeed, YOU did not make that indication, I was only trying to point out how some would connect-the-dots between the deviant and the parents. I only used Dahmer's name because you mentioned him. Please excuse my careless typo in his name.

Mo,
Okay, got it. Didn't mean to come off so 'tudy. There was a time in my life when I would have agreed almost completely that kids come out as you make them. Today, I MOSTLY still agree with that still but have lived long enough and known enough people who I really believe were good and true parents that came out with some truly **** up kids, despite their best efforts. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be the best parent you can be. I practiced, "Expect a lot = get a lot and expect "not much" = get not much" It has worked out.....so far. My kids are really great and I love braggin on them but in my heart I know the truth is I am only partially the reason for that, and probably not the biggest reason for it. I could have had those same kind of kids the good-but-unfortunate parents had. Thank God.
