Saw this car and it sounds great. New Porsche engine to fix RMS and everything.

I have been looking at 996s casually too. The prices seem to be coming down. I am beginning to see them in the mid 20s with less than 75k miles on them. In fact I looked at one on Saturday with a friend as he is thinking about buying one.
A couple more years and I'll be in the market when I can get 2002 - 2003 C4S for under $30k. I just really like that design on the back side.
