Musicians on board?

I'm a jazz trombone player. I fool around on trumpet and drums.
I can sing.

Anybody else out there?

I am a drummer, still play 4-5 times a week. Payed brass about 20-25years ago in high school, but not sure I could even make a clean note.......

If you turn my mic down, I can sing back ups...

cheers

Guitar and piano as well as really lousy singing.

Have had several bands in my younger days. Lot of 'home made' recordings.

I am not going to post any samples..

Guitar player for about 25 years. You'd think I'd be good by now. I'm not.

Retired band director/Corps guy. Play just about everything except bagpipes (play a chanter well, just don't dig the entire instrument). Been playing professionally since '73.

Playing drums for 35 years or so. Yes, I was in a hair band in the 80's and spent many nights doing the local club scene, what there was of it in my town.
Got into the Detroit club(Ritz, New York, New York, Blondies, Token Lounge, Harpo's )rotation and drugs became too big a part for two of my bandmates and we split.
I don't get to play much since finding time is difficult but I still have my kit. I bought it new in 1984. It was my first bank loan.

Wayne,
I'm a drummer, too! I have a 12pc Slingerland set from 1979 with Zildjians (of course) and a Roland Vdrum Pro kit at home. I play a Rogers set from the '60's at church every Sunday. I didn't know you played the drums. Excellent!!

Hey trekkor! Fellow trombone player here.
Jazz trombone in college (Auburn Knights Orchestra big band style + a few small combos) and some after. Played in a horn section of a couple of cover/party bands. Loads of fun. My tone stinks nowdays as I have not practiced in a few years.
http://www.auburnknights.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Auburn_Knights_Orchestra

Singing since high school, but no groups in many years.
Piano picker (I use the Columbus method) only to the point of trying to arrange horn parts...
I understand music theory and the technical aspects of several instruments, but alas, have not the talent to be able to actually PLAY those instruments.

Maybe it's time to start a new thread. "The official thread of music played by you......" Mine would rot, but nostatic and many others would probably make it cool. Now if I could just find those old jazz band tapes to digitize......
