Anyone Into Geocaching?

http://www.geocaching.com/

Seemed like a waste of time at first but after our first search with no results, we are going back for another try.

A guy a work with has a ball with it. He especially likes the ones where you have to solve the puzzle to get the coordinates. He takes his grandaughter out to swap the trinkets and she has a great time.
I have been thinking of going along with him once or twice. One puzzle took him a month to solve and he is a mthematics wizard, basically he builds satellite calculators for various deployments and equipment.

I've only been a couple of times, but it was a blast!
A buddy of mine is on a GC team across the river @ Purdue, they go every weekend!

We've done it a few times. My daughter loves it for the cheap toys. Last one we did involved some fairly trecherous rock climbing to get to the cache. My wife and daughter stayed below. Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. Some caches are kid friendly and some are not.

My favorite was a log-only cache that was in a park. We were about to give up when I noticed an electrical outlet box sitting at the base of a light pole. The log was inside the box -- which obviously wasn't connected to anything.
