Value of JFK stuff?

I have a bunch of newspapers(milwaukee area papers) from the death OF JFK and Oswald that my mother in-law had.. is this stuff worth anything ?? She wants me to get rid of it for her.. Any ideas?

Put it on Ebay and see what someone bids for it? You never know on that place!

Agree that eBay is probably best place to sell it.

I attend estate sales/ auctions almost weekly. You see this sort of stuff all the time. WWII Newspaper headlines, Kennedy assassinated, M. Monroe's death,
etc. All basically worthless (so many printed, no "uniqueness"), thus ...no real value.

But you never know what someone is collecting, so use eBay ...start bidding low!

His humidor went for half a mil.

I think Mr. Pieterman paid $25k for JFK's golf clubs.

JFK library in Boston might be interested. Then again, they probably have tons of copies of that, but you never know. . .

I was in high school when Kennedy was killed. Everyday we read and saved the Chicago Tribune during the entire three-four days we were all glued to the story. I kept all those copies, but realize that with so many circulated and probably saved, their value is not worth much. Rather then destroy them, wrap and box them up and SAVE THEM for your kids and future generations. If they stay preserved and make it through several more generations, your great, great grandchildren may find that these are priceless and will thank your well decayed body for being so smart to preserve and pass on a piece of American history that affected us all. Today Lincoln funeral memorabilia is worth a hefty dollar.

bob has a great idea. think of it's future value to your next generations. be nice if it could be safely laminated or something.

Daddys First cozin was in the same PT Boat squadron in the Solomon Islands as JFK. He got to know him real well. Anyway his son now has a Machete where everybody in the squadron signed the scabard including JFK. Now does anybody think that is worth something?

It was $20,000 - Elaine was only authorized to spend $10,000 but got caught up in a bidding war with the heiress of the 'Oh Henry' candy bar fortune.

Of course THAT is worth something, just as the mentioned humidor and any other "personal" items would be to collectors.

However, the initial post was about 'newspapers'. * Yawn*

Worthless ...unless you find that one, all consumed nutball, living in a trailer down by the river, that covets ANYTHING concerning J.F.K. Or as mentioned above, preserved for MANY generations ...for future sale.
