Using the power plane on the French doors I recently installed. Cord kept hanging on the end of the door. Wrapped it around the dust bag to keep it out of the way.
Wife says " better be carefull you don't cut the cord" I respond "relax I know what I'm doing" Next pass........ |
Oh man, power planers can cut the cord cleaner than a Gillette shave. Ask me how I know.

Do a search on the thread "Admit to your stupidity" it's amazing

I am in the middle of a garage redo and was moving hanging cabinets from one wall to another. They were sitting on furring strips and used a 2x4 lag bolted to studs to hold them in place. First 4 cabinets went smooth. Wife interrupts the job with a task to pickup items from store before close. Back in I'm pulling on the cabinet but it won't come. I get off my ladder and pull the cabinet REAL hard and it came...right on top of my forehead. Copious blood from a 3" gash. Turns out this last 2x4 was held in place by a 4" wood screw that I drove too deep and didn't see. A quick trip to the local care center and they clean the wound and glue it closed. Idiot.

How about disconnecting the hot terminal first on an old full size chevy service van?
Not paying attention and struck one of the brake lines with the wrench. Arced through the line and then (probably even more stupid) drove it down the street to a brake shop to have the line replaced using the emergency brake to stop..... |
