good old days

sitting here contemplating my future I thought I'd check out my past thru photos. I hate getting my picture taken so there's not a whole lot of them out there. Even my mother doesn't have one.. or doesn't display it for some reason. anyway... my daughter is 20 now and I just so happen to have a picture when I was 18-20. it was a different world then. 1 or 2 hours sleep before work, sometimes (a lot of times)just straight into work from the bars, going out 7 nights a week. a different woman every night, sometimes a few different. couple hundred cars, couple hundred women, couple kilos of this, couple kilos of that.. wild times.. I'd give the rest of my days to have some of those days back

Have got one somewhere with my hair about down to my shoulders. Have to chuckle when I see it now...

Oh yea, about the same on the partying and such. Glad I survived it...

BTDT. Even the hair.

Groovy pic. Very artistic in a way. The hair kind of disappears into the wallpaper background.

I wanna grow a beard like I had in the '60's, but my wife won't let me. Lucky to still have hair I guess. Sure were fun times.

My friends and I discuss our insane street (drag) racing back then (1968 thru mid 70's). Of course we were "six feet tall and bullet proof" at that age (18-24).

After 10 o'clock we ruled the streets. GTO's, Chevelles, 55 Chevy, H.O. 455 Firebird, etc. Drag racing whomever pulled up next to you on city streets and also our back road haunt ...when the really serious stuff unfolded.

High H.P. cars with DRUM brakes! Sometimes with a few beers in us. We still wonder how all of our small cadre survived it all.

Not all of it... One weekend in Tahlequah that comes to mind I had a lady friend come over. I had some "ludes" (perscribed to me and legal) and she brought some other party favors, we mixed it together with some Coors and Tequila and it started. To tell the truth I remember very little of the weekend but my neighbors stopped me the next week and asked to be invited the next time it happened. Something about "wild animal noises" at all hours of the evening. The young lady in question is now a prosecutor for a fairly major city in the Mid-West... and am still in touch.

Burning,

Here is the only one I have on the computer right now...

And where are yours?

Joe,

I don't feel very comfortable playing "I'll show you mine if you show me your's" but just for you and just this once, from my long hair days:

Thanks and did not figure that you had what it took to show a real photo of yourself. Just confirms everything...

Hope you and your friend Mikey have fun in the playhouse.
