You won some little colored glass perfume/cologne decanters. I wonder if the "bottlecap" will be on the front, rear or on the roof. I remember seeing those in a catalog that my Mom had back in the 70's. It will be about 8" or so.

I think you're getting into Avon collectables at a good time.

Now you sound like my wife -

Noah930 09-28-2007 05:00 AM

Crap, Wayne. You won alotta crap.

Well, except for item #9. But even that's borderline crap if you ask anyone not on this board.

(Thanks for bringing a chuckle to my morning, though.)

Don't forget the shipping at $11.55 Did you really wait 6 seconds til ending to bid? so your one of those guys..........

Rot 911 09-28-2007 05:55 AM

A friend of mine gave me a box with the bottle that is #9 in the auction. Box is cool, but the bottle looks like someone did a stretch job on a 911.

Porsche-O-Phile 09-28-2007 06:32 AM

Now you can spray it on yourself and smell like an old boat. :p

Porsche made aftershave? Who knew? What's in it? Maybe oil dripped from 911s? Some of McQueen's sweat? Eau de bearing grease? I'm curious to know!

these were around in the 70's..typically filled with some brutish-type cologne.

Why Wayne we didn't know about your predilition....You bought a bunch of Avon Bottles. Your going to start smelling like a cheap whore from now on end....Thank Gawd we can't smell you over the internet...

Nostril Cheese 09-28-2007 07:22 AM

This is the stupid garbage you used to get from the Avon lady.

Not even worth a buck

rouxroux 09-28-2007 07:37 AM

Here are a few pics of what should be in that box. ( Dig the Cord and the MG as well) Looks like yours is the rare "extended engine compartment" version http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1190993504.jpg

I guess you'll have to send the Fuchs off to get them updated to "hyper black". :)

Gogar 09-28-2007 07:56 AM

SWEET! My brother and I had a bottle of "Vantastic" when I was about 9 or 10. I used to throw some on right before I'd get on the school bus. It drove the 4th grade ladies wild, wild I tell ya.

I concur... the market on Avon decanters has bottomed out, can only go up from here. You may want to check with tabs on their investment value.

Funny, I still have a corvette colonge bottle my mom gave me.;)
