New "Geico" Caveman Sitcom

On now.

Watching it.

Give it 3 episodes, 5 max.

gprsh924 10-02-2007 04:47 PM

I literally just told my roommate that I give it two more episodes.

That said, it was so terrible that I actually did find it funny, especially since I love the commercials. I found myself laughing simply at their appearance.

New "Geico" Caveman Sitcom: No thank you.

I grew tired of them just on commercials.

Aerkuld 10-02-2007 05:09 PM

Just wasn't funny.
It's a shame because the idea had potential for some great gags IMO.

I do like the Mike Wallace Geico commercial.

There's 30 minutes I'll never get back :D. At least I was multi-tasking so it wasn't a complete loss.

Well, I was stuck at work, so I missed the Caveman premiere. Thanks for filling me in -- glad to hear I didn't miss much...

I'm watching it on the west coast now. So far it hurls.

They could have at least used that music from the commercial when the caveman sees the wall poster in the airport in the opening. What's that artist's name, again?

Scary thing is they don't look as good as the "commercial cavemen", I know people that look like these TV guys.

A few minutes have gone by...It's awful.

maybe they will show some of the Geico commercials to redeem themselves

Yeah, it'll be cancelled.

As long as they don't put another %^&*king reality show in it's place. I'm so tired of turning on the TV to see the only thing on is people dancing with people, people dating people, people singing, people living with people.
Enough withthe reality shows already!

Agreed. Amazing how most Americans can be spoon fed this crap, and collectively they just eat it up. And most folks don't reliaze they're just watching low end entertainment and cheap actor wannabes.

But I guess given this fall's new TV Show lineup, reality TV isn't too far away from "professional" TV...

End rant.

How about a show about the seedy life of a stripper?

How about one concerning the life and times of a young Darfur refugee camp member?

How about a show about a guy who has nothing but bad luck always?

How about a show about the experiences of a hotel wall painting - see all the things it sees? (a spin-off could be the experiences of a bus seat!)

Anything would be better than the crap on the boob tube these days!

What an awesome show! I absolutely love it! It is a bit long though for my tastes, but man that show rocks. Definitely a good one.

berettafan 10-03-2007 07:29 AM

toby that show is most definitely not highbrow. it is a slow, tedious walk down memory lane for bluehairs. PBS needs to leave history programming to the people that actually know how to produce it.

What I have liked about this Ken Burn's project is so much battle film from the other side. When you see the German's hiding in the trees with binoculars next to these big f&*king guns and an American jeep in the distance, you realize what our guys were up against... Had a good talk with my neighbor the other evening - lived out doors for 1 - 1/2 years in Europe.
