Its only RockN Roll man or so they say

Went over to visit a friend last week. While there I met a woman, whose husband of 31 years passed away last year. While talking to her she told me she came from Oakland and left home in 1968 to hang out in the Haight. While there she sold L for a buck a hit. She knew Janis Joplin and said her son was born on the day she died.

She was at Alta Mont in the front row when the Hells Angles did a number on a black guy who pulled a gun on them. Her husband can be seen in the movie Gimme Shelter as the black guy with a big afro.

She was sitting next to Carlos Santana in the front row when Jimi played Berkley in may of 70. Her husband was backstage as he was a bass player with Little Anthony and the Imperials.

She knew Jim Morrison and said he was an introvert.

Later on she worked for Warner Brothers Records and worked the itenary for the Who on their last tour. She was there when Madonna, Prince and Van Halen were all discovered..

I think there is a bit more to tell about Jimi and Jim, but I didn't press for details. If ya know what I mean?

Tabs PM me her name. I worked for WB in that era. Yes Jim was weird. One person that knew him well described him to me as " The face of an angel, the body of a God, and the mind of a mad man"

OK, so you dressed up like a chick on the 60's/70's but you never hooked up with Lou Reed?
