Conservatives one, liberals ten. Unfortunately it's the exact opposite in reality. I think this single fact has kept religion afloat more than any other factor. JMHO :D.

+1, or maybe I should say +6 (for each of my kids)

Congratulations! You've done very well. If your wife is not a barren waste land and you want kids, I think three is the absolute minimum.

IMO
1 child = prone to selfishness
2 children = prone to selfishness and fighting
3 children = some semblance of balance, and sharing

That's because its cheaper to raise a conservative kid than a liberal kid. The conservative kid requires parents, the liberal kid requires the whole damn village.

kinda surprised this hasn't popped up yet....

...and 6+ is absolute chaos, but we're loving almost every minute of it.:D

Of course, I keep threatening to sell them on eBay if they get out of line - that seems to help!:D

IMHO, have as many as you can provide for and that you and your wife have th mental capacity to handle. YMMV...:)

Well, well (this one deserves 2 wells), if that isn't a glittering generality. I'm an only child and am not that selfish. In fact, you can have my opinions for free.

The other implication of Mikester's comments about the "one China" policy is that it has spawned a generation of very spoiled children. I've heard this from a number of people of Asian descent. Unintended consequence, but consequence nonetheless. . .

Just like in the movie "Idiocracy"

island911 10-04-2007 03:26 PM

Will Hillary's $5,ooo/kid "investment"(wink-wink) apply to all the Mexicans crossing the US border to squirt out an anchor baby?

scottmandue 10-04-2007 03:28 PM

I think one child is enough for any couple... I know I get full about half way through one... but then it depends on the size of the child and how big of a lunch you had. :p

THese are the wack-jobs I was talking about. 20 kids and pregnant again or something like that... They're building a house that;s more like a dorm, relying on many many donations. I'd like to see that money go to someone that deserves it instead of these stupid selfish people.

72doug2,2S 10-04-2007 06:59 PM

But his wife is so hot, can you blame him?
