??'s about selling parts from other cars (Here)

I had a 94 Volvo turbo a few years ago and smacked a deer with it at fairly high rate of speed, loved the car but it was totaled by the insurance company. Had some parts from that car that were not used (new) tune-up kit, front and rear sway bars(never mounted on the car), Hayes manual.

Is it acceptable to post those somewhere on PP/ BB. Pretty inconvenient to sell this kind of stuff if no one can look at it or knows you have it.

There is a Volvo section on the BB but it doesn't get any exposure, no posts in last 30 days.

Any guidance would be appreciated, if it's not appropriate I'll look for other options. Off the top of my head I'm guessing it's not kosher.

Thanks

Widgeon13

I've seen it done in OT.

I think your instinct to preserve the integrity of the marques on this board is correct but the fact is almost all of us own something other than a Porsche or BMW.

Since there is a Volvo section but no classifieds dedicated to it I think it's OK.

When in doubt ask Wayne.

stomachmonkey,

Thanks for the reply. I agree that it's probably not appropriate and after additional thought I will look for other options. I don't want to start a precedent that will create problems further down the road.

Thanks again for your comments.
