The Ralph Lauren Car Collection

Just noticed this show is on now on the Discovery Channel. It will re-run tonight at 9pm Pacific Time. He's got some of the best stuff. Just some heads-up...

Brilliant collection! And I should know. My wife helps to finance the thing.

I saw some eposide on reality TV somewhere, it was about Tommy Pullmyfinger and he was at a Ferrari Dealership looking at the new Enzo, he must have asked 10X if this was the car Ralph had. Then was appalled when he discovered it had manual windows.

Its sad sometimes that folks buy these super cars just to park them.

I recall reading a couple interviews re: Tommy Hilfiger. What a tool. Maybe a ridiculously rich and famous one, but a tool nonetheless. He's all 'bout bling.

I saw the show. He definitely has come incredible cars. I have a book about the museum display cars. It was pricey, but it is very nice.

I am not sure which car I like most, the Alfa, the McLaren, the Jag, the Porsche or one of the Ferraris.

He does seem to have a real appreciation for the cars. Unlike Tommy Hilfiger (sp?), according to some of the other posts.

So that's where all the profits for those $100 polo shirts went.

Cool show, I have it DVR'd. It's too bad it wasn't 2 hours and more car and less talk.

It was weird to see a guy racing 550's in one scene and designing dress in another. Very odd on the man scale.

maybe, I watched the show with the stereo on and the sound of the TV off.

Lots of Mclaren F1 shots (in a golden yellow).

He is credited on at least one episode of Victory By Design for providing a vehicle for the show.

There was a brief shot of his silver 959 next to his 550 in the museum in the show.

Several shots of the Mclaren F1 LM including some decent stuff of him driving it.

Still, not enough of the cars and too much other crap.

Saw it when it was in Boston at the MFA.
Lots of controversy showing them in an art museum but had a great turnout.

The Ferrari's (that GTO !) , the 959 and the 550 Spyder. The M F1 and the D type Jag are burned in my brain.
