Speaking of spiders
On Friday I spotted this hideous spider with hundreds of babies on board at the track.
It's about as big around as a half dollar. What is it?!? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191908673.jpg I was strapping the rear wheels before going home. It was just inches from me! KT |
Yeek.

Any leaking nuclear waste sites nearby ?
You havn´t turned brrrrright green yet, have you? :D |
looks like the infamous baby-on-board trackus spiderus
notorious for surviving on race rubber worms discarded by r spec tires best lightly sauteed in a mild garlic sauce with leeks and habanero compote |
I hope it didn't fall out of your hair...
|
I thought it was dead with the babies feasting. I touched it with my pliers.
It perked up an ran under my tralier. It's probally in my car. KT |
That my friend is a Wolf Spider. We have loads of them around these parts. In fact, that is the very kind my wife squished with a bear foot and picked it up and put it down the sink!
They are harmless but they do deliver a heck of a bite. |
Note to self: always check inside of helmet before putting on.

So how did she find a bear willing to loan her his foot. I ould be more frightened of the bear than I was of the spider! :D;) |

Bear foot or Bear Claw? http://www.citybagelbakery.com/images/Bear_Claw-sm.jpg I wouldn't waste a perfectly good bear claw to smash a spider... |
:D:D
We have a bunch of comics in here... Personally, I think spiders are pretty interesting creatures...I just don't want to touch one. I'll look at them closeup all day long though. |
I know it rains a bit too much where I live, but every time I see one of these post about spiders or snakes or snakes that swim in the lake, I realize I live in the best place in the world.....
You have to go looking for wildlife trouble up here. I have come across the odd black bear while hiking or playing golf, but as long as I never end up face to face with a cougar..... I just don't like little things that can bite or kill you. ( I lived in Africa and that was enough for me) Cheers |
