Anyone know the whereabouts of Alan Gun of AGLA?

He's had my Carrera sport steering wheel since late May for recovering, I paid for the work in mid-June, and he is not answering emails, nor returning voice mails.
Both his phone number voice mail systems are "full" so I cannot get any more messages to him.

I hope I'm not out the big bucks I paid for the wheel plus the nearly $350 I paid for the job.

Any Florida Pelicans care to pay him a visit for me? (Plantation)

Bill K

I assume you searched on AGLA before sending the wheel. If not, you might find it interesting...

Bill; He's probably on vacation, short employees, death in the family, ingrown toenail, woman left with the dog, you get the idea.

I had to chase this guy down for a cover and thread last winter with plenty of excuses (reasons). Hope it works out for you.

In the future if you sending stuff out speak with these folks. http://www.autobahninteriors.com/

thanks for the responses guys.

I did search 'AGLA' prior to sending him the wheel and came up with mostly positive feedback, his shop being the 'go-to' shop, but I guess I didn't look close enough.

bummer, as I have passed up entering several local and regional concours for lack of a presentable wheel. I'm just trying to get him to answer so I can see when I can get the car back out there.

He has me by the short ones, as, if I contest the credit card charges (from June), he still has my sport wheel.

His products and services used to be good, at least they were the many times I used AGLA, but that was a long time ago (10+ years).

Sounds like he's lost it over the past few years, though, lots of complaints.

Sorry, I should have added
Except I am (still) so at that hack that I lose all sense of proportion whenever the subject comes up.

If it's any consolation I would be to join any posse you get together to to tar and feather or hang that sob .

thanks you kindly sir.
I will fill you in on the particulars tomorrow morning, as I have all the UPS bills and CC chgs on my work computer.
I used to make the trip to Sarasota 3-4 times a year before my Dad passed, and I could stop off I-75 to see him myself, if I were stll doing that trip.

Interesting.

About 18 mos. ago I bought a new cover for my son's Audi. The item arrived right away, was as advertised, and looks great on the wheel. I was planning on ordering one for my 911 this winter... hope he's still in business.

update:
anyone who uses this guy after reading the posts about him on these forums ought to have his head examined, myself included.
I contacted him third Tues in Aug. when he promised to have it out by that Friday, or at the latest 10 days from the call.
still no wheel as of today (9/26).
he does not answer calls or emails.
ticks me off that he got my money 6/23 and probably used it to buy materials to fix other wheels.
he's probably waiting until he thinks the credit card cancellation period has expired so I can't fight the charges through Visa.
think again.
Bill K

Doesn't Pelican sell his stuff? If you really want it from him, order here and let Wayne sweat it. (Sorry Wayne).

My brother ordered me one of those for a gift 2 years ago... Anyway it was late.

I finally put it on my car. It's OK, I wish there was more of the "twine" that came with it. A lot more. I had to buy something at the craft store to fill in the rest. I'm only "OK" happy with the results. I would never pay for that result. For certain.
