How do these Chinese make stuff so cheap? Answer here.
I think this is part of it, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

Dude. Tell me they're not sitting in the press.

That is fricking awesome! I'm cackling still!
Is the typically short chinese person a cause or effect of such manufacture? JP |
Yep, I've seen plenty of press crews run without wrist safety straps, but this is the first time I've ever seen a team literally ride the press. :D

A Chinaman's chance doesn't refer to Chinese. It is an English boxing saying. A china man is a man with a jaw made out of china, i.e., a jaw that breaks at the first punch. A china man doesn't have any chance to win a fight, hence the phrase.
By the way, the reason stuff is cheaper from China has more to do with currency values than anything else. The lack of safety and environmental regulations decreases productivity. In the '50s and '60s German products had the same advantage. The DM was something like 4 to the Dollar. Now the Euro is what, 1.3 to the dollar? If you live long enough you might see the same thing happen to the Yuan. |
