Dallas vs. New England -- where the hell is the game?

C'mon! I live in Cali, but could care less about the Raiders vs. Chargers. Where's the Cowboys vs. Patriots? CBS keeps showing highlights, but no game.

I overheard someone in a restaurant this morning say the game is on Pay-per-view. Pay-per-view? For an NFL game? What's that all about?

Game's on CBS here...halftime...maybe that's why you are getting highlights?

kstar 10-14-2007 02:23 PM

I'm in SoCal watching the game Web 2.0 style!

Dallas is having a great start of the second half!

CBS or NFL Sunday Ticket (although I hate Direct TV, I have it)

And the stinking refs keep giving NE and Belicheat breaks...as if they need them.

Neilk 10-14-2007 03:00 PM

Well for some stupid reason, NBC in Dallas thinks we'd be more interesting in watching the Houston Texans rather than the AFC game of the week. Really sucks.

This game is pretty exciting. Not sure who to root for. I am not really a Cowboy fan.

Woo hoo! 2 min. left in the Chargers vs. Raiders game, then switching over to Cowboys vs. Pats. As is, the Chargers are handing the "Faders" their asses.

JCF 10-14-2007 03:37 PM

No, BUT SURE IS SWEET !!!!

kstar 10-14-2007 03:45 PM

To answer the original question of this post: The Game was played in the Dallas End Zone.

Here are some other questions:

It didnt look like the Pats needed video tape on this one did it?
But for a team that's 3 SB wins are "tainted" in some people's crazy minds, they do a nice
job of adjusting away from the videotape, dont they?

Where is the poster from Dallas....the one that said that Tom Brady is "average" and that
Troy Aikman is one of the best of all time?

hmmm....

JCF 10-14-2007 04:47 PM

You think Wade saying the Super Bowls were tainted , and Mr Popcorn motivated them a little ?

And I don't think Brady was even at his best in this game.

mattdavis11 10-14-2007 06:05 PM

Hey Sonic, I'm right here. Tom Brady is an average QB. Did you see some of those throws he made? I was trying to figure out if there was a receiver down there on the turf where he planted some of those balls.

I have to admit though, NE has some fine receivers, and are a damn fine football team. Dallas has a terrible pass defense, so I'm not really surprised to see that they got 388 yards hung on them through the air.

I can take the punishment, dish it out.

gprsh924 10-14-2007 07:20 PM

He made some great throws too...and in those superbowl victories he had nowhere near the caliber of receivers that he has now

Sonic dB 10-14-2007 10:43 PM

lol...whatever...

dd74 10-14-2007 11:36 PM

'72 Dolphins are on standby...

JCF 10-15-2007 02:28 AM

A long way to go there - and they still need to play Indianapolis - though it is often a lower ranked team that pops the corks in Miami.

Dallas has a very good O/D line and backs and TE and a pretty good QB ( though he's no Brady ) but they are still mising a few pieces. They played pretty well but NE is TOUGH ! Do wish they had a stronger running game but that's what I said about the great 49er Teams and look what that got me : )
And even on an off day 5 TD'S - almost 400 passing yards ? ! How many third down conversions ? 48 points ?
(without going in to the Super Bowls )

Matt - come on - AVERAGE ????!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Porsche-O-Phile 10-15-2007 05:47 AM

You can't convince some people that the sky is blue.

Brady could run out of fingers to put superbowl rings on and some boneheads would still think he's "average". LOL! If there's one thing I've learned in life it's to never underestimate the human capacity for rationalization and denial.

DonDavis 10-15-2007 06:36 AM

This is the way I see Brady. When Bledsoe went down, Brady came on like gang-busters. He was tearing it up out there. He was "too good too soon". The Patriots are great implementing the "team" philosophy so it appeared he was just an average QB is a great system. We were all waiting for him to stumble.

Everyone was saying "Just give him a little time. His true colors will come out".

Well, it's been several years now and he has NOT stumbled. That guys is ridiculous! He's damn near a lock for the HOF right now. I see more and more people acknowledging his ability. He's getting the credit now. Just look at Randy Moss' comments after the game last night. He sounded humbled to be on that team. It was cool to see that.

Tom 'effing' Brady. He makes it look so easy. Just like Montana did. Tom's not done yet. He's some much fun to watch.

Oh, btw, I'm not a Patriots fan.
