Is your world only black and white? There's a lot grey out here from what I can see.

legion 10-16-2007 12:32 PM

Yes, but is there any black or white in your world?

Frogs, like other amphibians, have color vision.

FWIW.

Best,

Kurt :D

Black and white views are the luxury of children and idealists.

Kurt, that's right. It's very colorful in my world. :)

My favorite Prof was a Marxist from Chile...it seems the Pinochet govt wanted him back and the CIA was trying to oblige...cause he soon went to McGill. Oh well

Stuporman never ceases to amaze me with his predictability. Anyway I am a reversionist and I'm smarter than stuporman. However I shouldn't say that too loudly as I might be laughed at for claiming that as any kind of accomplishment.

And an institution should not profess to be about the free exploration of ideas if some ideas are off limits.

That is your version of what college *should* be. The funny thing is that the prof likely says the same thing.

I've been on all sides of the aisle on this one. I've seen idiotic faculty and totally clueless/obnoxious students. And of course neither group thought that they fell in that category...

Funny.

Tabs has it all figure out of course, but other folks sometimes report surprises. Like for example my fairly conservative religious views, and my pro-gun position. To name two.

Another conundrum is this: I am the caricature, the poster-child of the shades of gray. Sure, folks are going to dismiss and deny, but it is very true. Anybody who has worked with me much over the past couple of decades at least, will tell you absolutely that there is no black or white in my world. Only various shades of gray. My answer to all questions is "it depends...." Attorneys are terribly frustrated with me because I cannot give a simple yes/no answer to a question. But here's the real kicker: I am not a moral relativist. Absolutely not.

You guys might find it fun to get me drunk and ask me questions.

Leftism is like Mac's. If it wasn't for college, demand for both would evaporate.
