If credit is so tight, why are there so many ads?
 
I am so tired of the mortgage ads on radio and TV. I thought people couldn't get mortgages due to the tight credit markets? They're even advertising jumbos.

It cuts both ways. There are a lot fewer borrowers to go around for the lenders.

I really hate the Ditech one that starts and end with:

Not mortgage offers, but I got 3 credit cards offers in the mail Friday. I was wondering about the supposed tight credit markets also. I usually get 2 or 3 home equity offers a week also.
