Help me get hammered

OK,

So I'm trying to pack up the house to move.

In an effort to reduce the stuff I move with I'm drinking all my booze.

Officially polished off the wine. Couple of bottles of 50 year old tawny port left but I'll save them.

Moving onto the hard stuff now.

I've got white rum, dark rum, coconut rum, jack, lots of sipping tequila and aneijo, vodka (regular and flavored), balvinne portwood, remy, some chocolate liquers, rumplemintz, overproof, some mash, and other odds/ends.

Any good recipes. I'm a little too old for Jungle Juice these days.

We called it Jungle Juice.

Just mixed up some creamy girly drink, vanilla vodka, coconut rum, white rum and white chocolate liquer.

Ughh, wife liked it but not for me.

Think I have some margarita mix.

Make a bunch of whiskey sours.

notfarnow 10-16-2007 06:09 PM

A friend of mine used to take a swig out of his beer, then top it up with vodka. He was always the first to wretch.

I like my vodka right out of the gas can

OK,

We're on Margaritas.

Much better.

I should be planning this so I can prepare.

Think I'll stick with Tequila for a few days. Drink the mixable stuff first and then finish with the sippers this weekend.

We did that with the wine, started with the everyday stuff and finished with the good stuff. Wife and I plowed thru about $1k worth of vino in the last 2 weeks.

I'm proud of you man, you set a goal and are sticking to it.

Hey,

I have those cabinet doors and knobs.

Do your knobs have a grain?

I lined up all my knobs so that the reflection from the grain is the same.

I get weird with stuff like that.

All my light switch and outlet cover screws are set horizontal, 9-3.

What's scarier is my wife noticed.

Just remember to pace yourself. This is a somewhat ambitious undertaking; the temptation to come out of the blocks hard and fast could spell your long-term failure to meet your goals. Evaluate your situation and ensure that you have allowed enough time to adequately dispose of the booze on hand. Don't be afraid to enlist the help of a few good men if need be. Good luck to you. We are all behind you on this. Make us proud.

Nope, mine are brass with porcelain centers. Got them used on ebay for $22.

But I'm with ya, all my light switch & outlet covers are horizontal too. It's a disorder.

A friend of mine bought a beautifully finished house that was built in the 20's. One day I noticed that the screws for door hinges, brass window locks, cupboard doors were all horizontal.

Ship it all to Miami.

Joeaksa 10-16-2007 08:35 PM

Invite some Marines over. They will be glad to help you with this very important task!

craigster59 10-16-2007 08:44 PM

Rum= mojitos
Tequila= slow down Cochise, not all at once
Vodkas= multiple "tini" recipes, experiment at will
Remy= cigars and poker
chocolate liquers= pour it over the kids ice cream, they'll be much more 'quieter" during the move.

You are living a Southern College mans dream right now. I am slightly envious.

911Rob 10-16-2007 09:20 PM

Reminds me of a party I threw in college; took a brand new plastic garbage can and everyone brought something 'white' and poured it in with some fruit juices and fruit.
She was a great night!
Have fun

How many fingers am I holding up???

Are we drunk yet??

livi 10-17-2007 12:45 AM

I am calculating the economics of catching a late overseas flight. How much would I have to drink to even out the price for the plane ticket..

I suppose, by now, you will need something to make you stay awake for the duration of this task. The simple Swedish 'Kaffe-task' is very effective and I see you have the ingredients.

Big coffee mug - preferably white.

Silver coin of any value placed at the bottom.

Plain vodka 3/4 of the mug.

Strong brewed coffee. Top off slowly until you can no longer see the coin. No more!

No sissy sipping!

That ice-chest with the fruit brings back memories....sort of..remember the fruit,
then ......
no tattoo..whew

I've got a similar problem. I'm moving in Jan. and have tons of ammo that will cost a bundle to move. I'm trying to shoot it all off and start fresh when I get a place in AZ. I am down to between 500-1000 rds. each of .45ACP, .357SIG, .40S&W and .223. I hate cleaning my guns so much, but can only shoot at the NRA Range in one hour blocs.
