Finished my project #2 crossed off the list for October

First one was a cedar chest that I refinished - stained it brown to tone the reddish color - then just finished these benches to fit our pottery barn table that the wifey just "had" to have. I swear we designed the house remodel around this table.

Anyway - they came out well - One is 8'6" and the other is 7'2" so enough seating room for about 6-7 just on these.

Very nice. How about a shot with the lid up showing the construction?

I didn't take many pictures during construction - but I designed and made these pretty sturdy considering their duty ( figured three 200#'s scooting their booty along... )

Looks great! I don't think they are going anywhere.

Nicely done! I've had to match stupider things than a table for my renovation projects. Women........

Nope - the house will be gone but the bench will be there -

I wanted to be able to attach with just three or four lag bolts to the wall (which it does) and not disturb the trim - which is still there, and yet be sturdy enough for 3 #200 folks - which it should be. I guess the test will be thanksgiving - we have about 22 people coming...
