Red Sox Do or Die
So I know most of you don't give a poop and some of you have abandoned ship, but tonight Schilling will pitch at least 7 innings. He'll give up 4 hits and the Sox will win 6-3.
|
For the love of______, I hope not.
I really hope that nobody watches the game. Come on, it's football season. Where was the rally 5 months ago? |
Their off to a good start if Manny will just run when he hits the ball.
|
Looks like "do".
Way to go JD Drew! Now let's hope Shilling and Co. can hold it. |
Didn't take long for you to get back on board, POP. Where's the throw in the towel cancel the season, and the one after that spirit.:D
|
Sweeeeeeet.
|
10-1 after 3 , cool.

Uh.........no. It is baseball PLAYOFF and World Series time. Talk about "C'mon"? |
Incredible. 5 outs to go, and the Sox are up by 8. Even Gagne couldn't F it up at this point... [ducks]
My pop-in-law is at a wedding right now. Can't imagine he (and just about every other guy in attendance) isn't glued to the TV at the bar right now. |
Dice K tomorrow. Josh if we need him. At Fenway. I can't stand it. Booyaa.
|
See you all tomorrow night.

Come on Rockies!

Did you have any doubt that the Sox would force a Game 7? ;)
Get ready for them to throw everything and the kitchen sink at Cleveland: Dice-K, Wakefield, Lester, maybe even Beckett out of the bullpen. |
I have to admit I did. Sorry, the ghosts of '75, '86 and '03 all had me thinking this was another heartbreaker, especially given how crummy the offense was performing. . . or should I say "not performing" prior to Thursday. That win gave me a little hope, although there was still pretty poor production from the bottom half of the lineup. It was nice to see those bats come to life again, ditto on the pitching, especially from Schilling. He got himself into a spot of trouble in the 3rd and kind of squeezed himself out (a bit by luck I think) but it's still nice to see.
I'll be watching Game 7 for sure tomorrow. Even if they should happen to lose, they've at least earned my respect again. |
Incredible. Just incredible. Go Sox.
When they beat the Yankees in Game 7, 3 years ago for the ALCS, my wife said: Oh I wish we were in a bar in Boston. We had literally just arrived at our hotel in Hawaii and were in the bar overlooking the water. I thought Jeez, I bring you all the way here--for your first time--to one of my favorite places on earth, and you want to be back in a crowded bar in Boston?! But man, I wish I were in a bar in Boston right now. The entire city (no exaggeration) must be in absolute pandemonium. There will be little productive work done in that town these next 10 days. |
Done. Go Sox!

WOW!
This is going to be awesome! |
I told you guys that Jacoby was a good player! How many other rookies have you seen given an intentional walk in a pennant winning game? The pride of Madras, Oregon "done good"! :)
|
Can we officially call this year's ALCS Game 7 "the day of the rookie?" Dice-K, Okajima, Pedroia, and Elsbury all come up big. Not to mention Papelbon -- not exactly a rookie, but close enough!
