A few pics of my scratch built from plans aerobatic airplane project. All welding was done with my Miller Econotig. The majority being 3/4" dia x .035" wall 4130 steel tubing.

Once again, if I could only own ONE welder for my home shop, it would be a tig with both AC and DC output. No other type welder is as versatile as a tig machine.

Thanks for the info!

My welding textbook had a picture of a similar torch and said it was hand-held. It wouldn't be the first error in the book. (And the textbook was pretty much a POS.)
