				Towing Hauling Question

Do you think a Bronco II is capable of hauling a 911 on a trailer from NY to TX?

				Would you?

I had a Bronco II and loved it for everything but towing. It is already top heavy and towing anything makes the steering squirrely as hell. I wouldn't do it.

No. Depending on the 911 and the trailer this setup is going to be marginal at best. Check the towing capacity of the BroncoII and the GCWR including tow vehicle, trailer, 911, passengers and all your stuff plus a tank of gas. Don't exceed the ratings. Even if you're right at the limits, you may still have handling issues at high speeds. That's a lot of long highways with 75 mph zones. Getting passed by an 18 wheel truck going 20 mph faster than you in a crosswind is going to be an adventure in a Bronco II. The only way I would consider a trip that long is an a car/trailer combination I had been driving for a while. Just my two cents.

Is the Bronco II auto or manual.? Trailer brakes? Weight of the trailer, etc. Then I'd re-read Martin Smith's post and have the car shipped. Really, unless it is a one-way tow, I'd ship..and I've done some stupid tow tricks..

Have the 911, a 55 190 SL, my Bronco Beater and the wifes Tahoe to get down here. Was supposed to drive the Bronco last week but stuff happens so it looks like I'll do that in 2 weeks then the Tahoe (with the cats in it) after T's-Giving. Just trying to minimize the costs. The 190 is definitely going Horseless Carriage enclosed.
