Oil industry guys, inside baseball question.

Do you guys know of Smith International? I guess they make well/drilling equipment. We are looking into making some tools for them and I'm just curious what their reputation is or if anyone here has involvement with them. Thanks,

there's so many down hole companies in tx/la it's hard to keep track.
They look pretty big, though not as big as baker

for sure that was a worthless reply, I don't spend much time on rigs anymore, and most of us wouldn't know who made what anyway.

Garage
I interviewed with them and some friends have worked for them. I didn't want to work there because they seemed a little too excited about drill bits . Otherwise they seemed like a good, reputable, and large company.

Any work you can get in the oil and gas industry is damn good work right now. There isn't enough people or resources to go around.
