What about the dust that kicks up? Wouldn;lt that get in the way of the projected image? Maybe if the sides of the tank were LEDs and the image was made of the opposite side...still pretty cool.

seems to me the Japanese made a suit like that a few years ago

One of the reasons I like Sci-Fi so much is that because if they can dream it, they can do it. Almost everything writen about in Sci-Fi either has been done, or is being worked on to some extent.
Time travel, of course, being the most difficult I'm sure.

Did you know that a satellite was recently launched using ION propulsion?
Hmm...what Sci-Fi icon used ION thrusters? TIE fighters...among others...:D
