Here are some pics of the Treehouse I built from some left over parts from my brother-n-laws house building. I built the free form (Trapazoid) deck one week end with the longest 2x8's and 2x10s I had around a big oak tree the kids play around, then sketched up the structure after i gathered enough studs to frame it up.

I did this for my son, it was about 4 feet off the ground at the rear and 10 feet at the front. I might have a picture somewhere. It was on the side of a hill in the backyard and was approx 4' x 8" in footprint and tall enough for me to stand in. When the 1st hurricane in 2004 was bearing down on us and I was done shuttering up, I looked up on the hill and thought to myself, " that thing is going to end up taking out my house". 30 minutes later and the use of a chainsaw and sledge hammer and it was in pieces, tucked away against the wall in the garage. I hated to take it down but know it would fly in 100+ MPH winds.
