Help a little guy out...

Kieran Flanigan, 6 years old, is having his second corrective head surgery on November 14th due to Cranialsynostosis

http://facesofchildren.org/conditions/craniosynostosis.html

Kieran will have a temporary plate in his skull for a while, and will have to wear a protective helmet.

Kieran and his dad have designed a T-Shirt for folks who would like to support him that day. Local friends are purchasing the shirts to wear that day, and some are sending photos of their families wearing the shirts with a "get well soon" email, or visiting him.

I’m attaching a JPG of the image, and I’d like to ask fellow Pelicans to download and print it, take a picture of yourself and friends/family and e-mail it to him with a supportive message. The idea is to let Kieran know that everyone is pulling for him. His dad’s email is steve@creativille.net.

Thanks guys! SmileWavy Moderators - can you make this a sticky for a couple of weeks?

Here's wishing Kieran and his family all the best!

With a name like Kieran Flanigan, how can the Irish boys here refuse that? Sounds like a lad we'd all like to shake hands with one day.

We have a meet this weekend so I will get on it mate ;)

Thanks guys - he'll be thrilled to get greetings from around the world! He's really a very cool little boy, just loves the "gear" and is very active, so I can see him in a P-car some day. BTW, I'm doing some graphics for his helmet once it's fitted, but in the mean time he has my expired Bell Racestar with Porsche graphics.

Can you buy t-shirts if you aren't local?

Sure! http://www.cafepress.com/creativille_kff

johndglynn, would you be the John Glynn who writes for 911 & Porsche World? Geez, I'm hijacking my own thread.

I do more for Total 911 than 911 PW mate, but have had a couple of pieces published in PW recently: a guest column and a bit on my car and a mate's Lime Green Euro Carrera (pic below). No other PW articles on the horizon at the minute.

I owe you some good karma from this side of the pond so let me know if there is anything extra I can do (could send him an impactbumpers.com RSR tee shirt, though my smallest size at the mo is medium).

Very cool! I just got that issue a couple of days ago and haven't had time to look at it yet. Nice to have another bonafide writer on the forums. I may PM you with some more information. Thanks and take care, John.

Kieran has started receiving greetings and it's really helping him cope, so keep em' coming! He's only 6 but he seems to be understanding that there are good people in the world who, even though he doesn't know them, wish him well.

We wish him very well mate - my middle daughter is just about to turn 6 and I can't imagine how tough it would be to be where Kieran's family are, so bless them too.

I don't know about bonafide writer, I am a Car Editor full time (motor trade stuff) and writing is part time for me, but I enjoy it. Plus sometimes I even make a few bucks - to spend on the car ;)

Got a couple of nice ones of all the guys on our Welsh run last weekend with the logo, so that is done. Go Kieran! SmileWavy

Thanks John! I'll PM you later.

Update - Kieran picked up a strep infection a couple of days ago, so they've had to delay the surgery, rescheduling for January? Damn.

More good wishes for the little guy...

Wishing Kieran Flanigan the best this holiday season!

I know what you and your family are going through. We went through this procedure with one of our twins, Trevor. He was less than 1 at the time and now he is a typical 3 year old.

Update - Kieran made it through his surgery yesterday with flying colors. He is doing well, still tired and groggy, but the surgical team did a great job, and he is recovering better than expected. Thanks so much for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. If you have a minute send him a greeting at steve@creativille.net. He likes car pics too.

good news, give him a high-5 for me :)
