Dell 6400 question/issue

I have an issue/question about my Dell 6400 laptop.

When it goes into standby mode, I can't get the screen to reactivate without rebooting the machine.

Anyone have suggestions on the power settings or such that might help?

I see in the advanced settings what the various buttons do to put the unit into standby or hibernate, but nothing about waking it up.

Help........
