Impact Bumper drive through the Welsh Mountains
Met some impactbumpers.com friends in Wales yesterday, for a drive through the mountains on a fresh Autumn day. 750 kms of heaven including the fast drives there and back. There is no better use for the fuel remaining in the world than ten or more 911s driving down some of the best roads anywhere!
Our route included the Evo Triangle - one of those roads where your jaw drops bend after bend, totally brilliant. We'll definitely be doing this again. Some pics (sorry they're a bit orange): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive004.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive021.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive025.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive052.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive065.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...shDrive072.jpg |
Excellent pictures! In early December me and a few friends will be running through mid/North Wales, probably taking in the Elan Valley/Devils bridge in mid Wales then up North to the infamous triangle. Sadly after the demise of my 944 there will be no Stutgart motors in our little group.

Nice pics, makes me home-sick, except for the weather.

That is some pretty countyside. Do all the women really look like Catherine Zeta-Jones?
|
That looks great John, both the countryside and the car. Nice to know you guys were driving in the land of the red dragon while the Pelicans over here were driving the Tail of the Dragon! Amazingly for Wales it looks as though it had stopped raining, it's normally been chucking it down whenever I've been there.

LOL, thankfully the Welsh girls I know look nothing like sheep. I was just listening to a show on the 'Net with Katherine Jenkins, the fabulous Welsh mezzo soprano. She is a babe and a half:

I'm jealous, John. Beautiful countryside!

Absolutely brilliant photos. Among the best I have seen here. Lovely country side. Yes, better waste of petrol would be hard to figure out.

Great pix! I am up for a few more if you have them. Thanks, Glenn

Stunning. We need more.

I bet John didn't have two Granite Green and two Carmine Red coupes on the same run though!
Not that we got photos to prove we did. |

Few more but this thread is definitely too orange now. I will do some tracking shots and scenery only next time. It's not all the same lake by the way! |
I can't decide which is prettiest, the green, the orange or the mezzo!
|
Beautiful scenery, thanks for posting the pictures. Nice cars too!
