Planning trip to Mammoth Mtn, CA in January - Where to stay?
Haven't been there in 20 years.
Any ideas on where to stay. Somewhere relatively close to the slopes. I'd imagine it has changed quite a bit in the past 20 years! Used to be pretty simple up there. |

Attempt to checkout Sunshine Village. Very nice places and pretty competitive.

Lots of condo's there advertise ski in/out but in reality are a 10-15 minute walk down a busy/icy street to the slopes. The newer village with it's own gondola is the bomb. You won't need your car until it's time to drive home.

I usually stay here which is near the village and busline/gondola to Canyon Lodge (Warming Hut 2). Nice accomadations and reasonable prices. I know a woman who owns a 4 bed unit, give me some dates and I might be able to get you a deal.
