Travolta Fever!

Forget about shift boots. What you need to get yourself is a shift saddle.

Kevin,

You cannot just throw out that bit of information without providing the lurid details.

What's the story? It appears that this started out as a pretty basic (no tach?) early F body tarted up with a '79 tail, nose and"flares"?

You weren't involved with the upholstery, I hope...

I fitted the bodywork to two different cars. The body kits came from Greenwood and George had me do a little sculpture on the fenders just to make it different. One car was a later 79 or so but one was actually a '72 that I fitted a later rear glass to. Both cars had the T-Tops in them. And NO I had nothing to do with the interior. George had the later car painted his favorite Brown/Gold colors(this car was also in "The Jerk" with Steve Martin) while the other I think was green. I'm not sure on that. I'd have to check the photo archives.

Greenwood. That explains the body.

At the time I made those two cars Travolta had a beautiful '57 T-bird that he brought into the shop for a little work. Travolata was a pretty down to earth guy then (he is now though it's hard to tell). He took a liking to my girlfriend who was a receptionist there at Barris Kustom. She ended up leaving George and went to work for Travolta in his production office on the Warner Brothers lot. We'd hang out at the office and talk cars, watch movies and eat pizza a lot.
