Wanted: Children's Book Writer

We need a new writer for our book series, The Great Adventures of Joey & Rex.

If anyone knows of a professional children's book author, or how best to find one, please let me know.

as a note about the project, ideally we need someone who can fully develop the concept and make it their own. the basic outline is Joey and his pet T-Rex skeleton travel (in a biplane) to both times and locations, always meeting a mentor character, like a race car driver in 1930s France, and some life lesson is learned (soft messaging). One goal is to connect the books with the clothing: While the books will have their own graphic style, we will weave 1-4 t-shirt designs into each story, predating their release as shirts. So if a book is released in April, those designs will appear in the fall collection in stores in August. A biplane logo will also appear on the apparel to strengthen the connection.

Down the road, we'll expand this into a Dora the Explorer type cartoon.

last note: while these books (and related brand extensions) are great for evening out seasonal cashflow, they also have two goals:
1. Get boys to read (they don't)
2. Turn back the tide of the wussification of boys.
