Porshce carjackers come short...

The police reservist is a hero, imho. The two mofo's will not carjack another person ever again, and their dead bodies may even scare off other wannabees for a while:

Hijacker shot dead on victim

'Hijackers' killed on the job

Johannesburg - A hijacker on Wednesday died on top of the woman whose Porsche he and an accomplice were trying to steal when a police reservist intervened.

The reservist also shot dead the other hijacker.

Jeez, I can't even spell "Porsche" correctly in the title. Finger trouble, sorry to the purists.

Where's a good Police Reservist when ya need one????

Just kidding.

Great outcome, couldn't have happened in a better way for those two a-holes...no matter what kinda car they were trying to jack.

A friend of mine is just finishing up two years in a Mission near Johannesburg (which I probably spelled wrong, sorry). He says that carjackings are the rule, rather than the exception. If you have anything nice, it will get stolen. It totally takes away people's will to work for anything nice: why save up to have anything nice? It's just going to get stolen.

He says that a lot of the problem is AIDS related. People learn that they're dying, and they stop caring about morality. It's like a mid-life crisis, except ... not. "I'm going to die soon, and I always wanted a nice car..."

Anyhow, it's nice to hear some good news out of that area.

Dan

You know carjacking is a problem when they allow flame throwers as a deterrent.
