Help with picking Software -Albums to WAV files

Fantastic. I ordered a $14 preamp and have connected my old turntable to the line-in on my soundcard of my computer.

I was able to make a great wav file using Audacity, but wonder if there is a better software that I can use.

I plan on making 100's of files from dozens of albums, so I need an efficient program that I can:

-- The program automatically breaks a side of an album into various files.
-- global edit for album name, artist, year, etc..
-- line by line edit of song name.
-- The export is easily importable into iTunes (specify format)

I am sure some of you have done this, and I welcome your experiences...SmileWavy

Thanks!

Do a google search for a free application called Audiograbber. I can't answer to all your specific requirements, but it does have a feature for ripping sons from albums.

Once installed, click on File > Line Out Sampling. Play around with it, you can even customize how it deals with the dead-air space in between tracks. The Help file explains quite a bit.

I am swaying towards a Sony program that at least divides the wav files when there is a break (between songs)...

I need to see how it works for entering data....

Thanks!!
