'06 BMW vault & crash at Mid Ohio... so have they smoothed out that bump since then?

Seems like this outcome could have been anticipated...

Wow. I had not seen that. Was he okay? I assume so, since I don't recall hearing anything about it.

As someone who has a fair number of laps at Mid-Ohio, I have not seen that "jump" in the grass. I guess I am not focused on the grass as I blast down the straight. I agree -- it should have been anticipated & it could have easily been fixed. And it is on the fastest section of the track.

Very scary. I will be interested to see if the track does anything about it.

No, they installed a tire wall across the infield there to catch the car before the jumping rise. It is due to the cut through they designed to the backstretch during the repave two years ago.
