I hate you. Are you at Carnegie? That is the best pastrami IMO.

I need to find a good place to go for a hot pastrami sandwich in DC. My mouth's watering because of this thread. Any minute my keyboard will short out.

The original Second Avenue Deli - NYC - I have not been to their new location, served an amazing pastrami...Expensive, but they would give you a bunch of bread so you could make like four sandwiches with all the meat they pile on top!
Good stuff...

Eating all the meat from places like Carnegie with two skinny slices of bread is nuts! It's multiple sandwiches worth of meat for a normal human to consume. From what you've said that they do, I think I like Second Avenue's approach, Dan.

What is in that? Looks like lettuce, tomato, fried egg (?), cheese (?), mushrooms, ham, mustard? Looks good, regardless.
I guess I'm the fool today for eating roast beef.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In all honesty, it might not be as good as a hot pastrami sandwhich, but it runs a close 2nd; Ha. Ha! Gimmee the protein!!! ![]() Sorry, I didn't realize this was one of those American only posts???? A National Pastrami Sandwhich day.... now that is cool

Dang - their is a young Palestinian guy on the west side here who makes an outstanding pastrami sandwich. I drove right by his place en route to gettings some FSC redwood...
I coulda "celebrated".... Sob! PS - we could certainly include BC in the US Nat'l Pastrami Day if some beer was included in the deal... I even have a motto for it: "54-40 or bite" Last edited by RWebb; 01-14-2009 at 02:34 PM.. |
