Nurburgring track done right.

A classic. Jeans and t-shirt and no helmet.

i don't think it matters much if you get into a highspeed Ring crash in a car without rollcage

Cdnone1 12-07-2007 01:58 PM

Pretty sure that's Walter Rohl.
I'd pay to sit in the pass seat if it's him

Here's another video. It's the same guy (Stefan Rosser), but with a new weapon. It's pretty funny to watch the passengers' expressions.

Not a dry pair of pants in site. Brilliant driving skills.

Surely a helmet would make some difference. I can't really get behind cowboying it up like that... not on the ring where so many people die regularly. Of course, he is a pro.

That's Rosser and he's in Yellow Bird. Yellow classic 911.

(I also happen to have the video on my HD, although it's the low quality version)

Since the car is one of the serious Ruf versions of a Porsche, it does have a rollcage (not just a rollbar). Ruf generally makes the rollcage fit very tightly into the interior and makes them very unintrusive.

I guess it's just extra motivation to not wreck?? It doesn't look like he's to concerned by how aggressive he's driving though. Cool video and it my butt pucker a few times sitting here watching it.

TyFenn 12-08-2007 11:37 AM

Guys, if you cut and paste the code from the "embed" field in the YouTube page, the video controls and viewer will be posted here, eliminating the need to navigate back and forth from the YouTube site.

I guess this is as close as we're going to get as far as viewing a video of Michael Schumacher driving a taxi!

Alois Ruf cleverly calls it the "IRC, Intergrated Roll Cage".

There is a reason he's known as "Sideways Stefan "
