Can you imagine if it had been 9 white kids beating up a black woman? Jesse and Sharpton would be driving to the nearest TV station at 100mph to make a statement in support of their 'sister'.

African American leaders perfectly reflect the community they represent: Morally bankrupt and unwilling to take responsibility.

Please note, that when I say 'the community they represent', this probably only accounts for about 25% of the black folks in this country. I think the majority of blacks are just as disgusted with these guys as whites. Can you imagine working your butt off your whole life, then having idiots like this claiming they represent you?

Their races would have been prominantly diplayed in the headlines if they were reversed, not as almost an afterthought well down towards the end of the article.

It's a shame that someone didn't pull out a gun and cap a couple of them. I have no tolerance for this sort of thing whether they are 40yo, 20yo, or 13yo.

It's equally outrageous that we even have hate crimes laws. Thought is truly criminal now. Why is someone's life worth more under the law than another person's because race was a motivating factor in their murder? Aren't both equally dead? Is anyone deterred by the additional hate crimes penalty when the assault or murder rap doesn't deter them? Yeah, we need more feel good, do nothing laws to protect the gov't-favored grievance groups.

Baltimore is an absolute shi*hole. One of the worse places in this country. Got my old car stolen down there last year. They found it, so I had to pick it up from the impound yard. Treat me like I am some fu*king scofflaw. Then to go to court. Junkie piece of *****. The judge thanked me for showing up. The skell is out on parole. More drug charges, my car stolen, used my car to commit more crimes - he gets three years. Most likely out next year to start it all over again.

My ex told me about the riots when she lived in Brentwood- the cops didn't care if they trashed their own place, but when they got out of the hood then they stepped in.

I was involved in a similar incident a decade ago in San Fransico on a Mun(Mission and Army st).
A 30-something Chinese woman was standing about 5 feet in front of me and suddenly got jumped by three girls and two guys. I pulled them off her and they jumped out at the next stop, laughing.

They were smart enough not to hit me, but the uptight woman never said thanks or any acknologment.

The article says the kid's bus passes have been revoked, so justice has been served :rolleyes:

As the thugs (of any race) of our society are allowed to act out and are given a free pass because of their "plight" we can expect more and more of this. It will only get worse.

JFX - I believe that if the races were reversed, like one of the original posters said, you would have Al and Jesse on the news decrying it and organizing a march in seconds. Also, it would cover the nations headlines for a day or two, have several minutes every half hour on CNN for 12-24 hours, interrup your local programming with special updates and statements from the "reverends" demanding charges of hate crimes, lawsuits, etc. be brought, and so on...

Yes, I would love it if The Rev's would stand against hate crimes of all persuasions , but they are not trying to solve the problem, only shine the light on themselves.

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans.

Terms like "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman"... are O.K. But if someone uses Nigger, Towel-head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... they're a racist.

There is the United Negro College Fund, Martin Luther King Day, Black History Month, Cesar Chavez Day, NAACP, and BET.

If some had WET (White Entertainment Television) ... they're racists. If someone started White Pride Day.. they would be called racists. If they had White History Month .. they'd be racists. If they had any organization for only whites to "advance" their lives ... they'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?

If they had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships... You know they'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US , yet if there were "White colleges" .. THAT would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, men believed that they were marching for their race and rights. If white men marched for their race and rights (Sadly some do), they'd be racists.

It is O.K. to be proud to be black, brown, yellow and red, and not be afraid to announce it. But if someone announced their white pride ... they'd be racists.
