Chevy Colorado ?

I'm looking at a 2004 Colorado crew cab 2wd. Anybody have any issues with the 3.5 - 5 cylinder OHC motor or any other problems? They say it gets 19 city and 24 hwy....
TIA

Sit in it. I looked at them when they first came out, very small/tight inside. I can't speak to the drivetrain.

My buddy has 4wd one. If you are looking for a mid size truck it's pretty nice. Just remember, it's a mid sized truck. They do have some engines that have valve train problems but GM extended the warranty on all of them just in case.

My wife has an 06 as a daily driver, 4wd, 4dr w/5 cylinder engine. Truck has 13k miles witrhout any problems. The engine has great power, especially on the highway, where it's needed the most for passing.

Regards, Dave

I helped a client sell his '04 Colorado with 160K miles on the 5 cylinder. It ran great. When it sold, he bought an '08 Ford F250 deisel crew cab 4x4. Six months later he called me to help him sell the F250 (that was only getting 12 mpg) and find a new '08 Colorado. We picked it up last Saturday... he says he loves it.

I have the cheapest 2006 Colorado made and I am very disappointed with the gas mileage.

Rick,
It looks like you got ~22mpg from it. I believe the rating for a 2wd is 19-23. I think your right in the gap. It also looks like you were getting way better mileage the last few months. Was there more hwy trips or did you change something?

I sat in one and was very uncomfortable, cramped and almost claustrophobic. Personally I can't imagine being happy with one of those colorados but everyone has different tastes.

Maybe he added an "Electrolizer"?
