Take this and....
 

Cindy just got off the phone. Giggling. She had talked with a neighbor who recently had cataract surgery. During the process, Cindy would drive this neighbor to appointments, etc.

Today was a big day for the neighbor. This lady passed the test, got her driver's licence back

But the funny part? After being told she's passed, the clerk handed our neighbor a form, then said: "Take this and we'll call you."

Yep, our neighbor is a good citizen, always follows bureaucratic instructions.

She drove home.

I'll bet this clerk will now say; "Take this. Have a seat, and we will call your name."

Something somewhat similar happened to a coworker at the begining of the term. She was in the Ladies, and there was a young girl there (freshman or hs dual enrollment student) doing her makeup, etc. The young girl asked "What time does the bell ring m'am?"

My coworker had to look her dead in the eye and tell her "This is college honey, there are no bells". Poor girl got white, gathered her stuff really quick, and hauled butt outa there...

The only bell I listen for is the dinner bell so I know that it is time for the buffet.

Good thing the clerk didn't say "take a seat"
dududuh- tah !
