I've built a few acoustic guitars, and can tell you that as long as it's only the tops that are damaged, they are easily fixed.

Of course, the sound quality is mostly dependent on the top, ie the quality of the wood, the thickness of the top, the locations, thickness, and shape of the braces, and the finish. So the repairer better know his stuff to retain top price after the repair. A good luthier could make some money here.
